1. Erath County Master Gardeners hosts annual spring plant
The Erath County Master Gardeners organization is hosting its annual spring plant sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Texas AgriLife Research Center, located at 1229 N, Hwy. 281 in Stephenville.
Gordon Lee, a certified master gardener, will be at the plant sale to explain the advantages of Texas natives and help local gardeners select the most appropriate plants for their landscapes.
The plant sale will include fun gardening activities for kids and a silent auction with a garden cart filled with gardening tools, garden décor, seeds and other goodies.

2. Stephenville Running Club hosts 5K birthday bash
The Stephenville Running Club is celebrating five years of camaraderie with a 5K birthday bash.
The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the Green Canoe in Hico.
The cost to participate is $30.
The celebration will include door prizes and birthday cake.

3. Jazz Fest at Tarleton State University
Tarleton State University’s annual Jazz Festival, featuring more than 500 middle and high school musicians representing 30 bands from across the state, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center.
Friday’s performances and instruction conclude with a 7:30 p.m. concert by Tarleton State’s Jazz II and III ensembles.
Tickets for each of the musical shows are $10 and are available here.

4. 90’s music, barbecue and a Mr. Legs contest
Revitalize Dublin, a nonprofit dedicated to beautification, community development and economic growth, will host its 3rd annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 25, at The Majestic on Grafton.
Guests will enjoy a high-energy performance by One Headlight Band, known for bringing the best of the ’90s to life, barbecue, silent auction and the Mr. legs contest – a crowd favorite.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with live music beginning at 7.
The event is free and open to the public.
