I have been a community journalist for over 20 years covering everything from City Hall, crime and breaking news to feature stories on the people and events that make living in this wonderful slice of North Texas so special.

 

Throughout my career I have been recognized by various Texas Press associations for writing in news, features, opinion and general excellence.

 

My work has been featured on Dateline, Netflix's Encounters, The History Channel and Break-Thru Films.

 

And in 2023, I took part in Texas Monthly's podcast "Stephenville."

 

Telling the stories of the place my family calls home is my passion.

 

While the world of journalism continues to evolve, I believe our desire to know what’s happening inside our communities is stronger than ever.

 

I love life and I love writing about things that make life interesting: Travel, food, and the everyday occurrences that forge friendships, help businesses thrive and enrich our quality of life that comes when we are informed.

Sara and her husband Steve were born and raised in Southern California and now live in Stephenville, Texas.

 

They raised three perfect children who now live in Miami and the Austin area.
