With no rain in site, Erath County commissioners reinstate 90-day burn ban.

With no rain in the forecast, Erath County commissioners on Monday reinstated a county-wide burn ban for the next 90 days. By SARA VANDEN BERGE Three hours after an Erath County Jail inmate escaped from the recreation yard at 10:58 a.m. Monday, the suspect was back behind bars and facing new charges. Treston Cane Nolte was recaptured around 2 p.m. near the head of the Bosque River Trail in Stephenville. “Several agencies found him near the river,” Chief Deputy Tye Box told Beneath the Surface News.
