The Stephenville Education Foundation is bringing back its Pits & Putts golf tournament on Friday, June 5, at Legends Country Club.

Registration for the four-person scramble will begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1.

A hamburger lunch will be served at 11:30.

“This is an opportunity for the community to come together and support the Stephenville Education Foundation and our SISD staff while enjoying good food and an afternoon of golf,” Shelley Gilliland, vice president of development and marketing, told Beneath the Surface News.

“There are opportunities to support this event by gathering a few friends for an afternoon of grilling, registering a 4-person golf team, being a hole sponsor or donating promotional items to share with all golf teams.”

Teams of four can register for $400 by clicking here.

Hole sponsorships are available for $100.

Participants who wish to both sponsor a hole and enter a team can do so at a discounted rate of $450.

In addition to playing or sponsoring, the foundation is looking for local businesses or community members to take part in hosting a hole by cooking and serving food or drinks along the course at no cost.

In previous years, participants have enjoyed everything from fried bologna to adult snow cones, turning each hole into its own experience.

Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase mulligans and raffle tickets for a family four-pack of general admission football season tickets and an autographed football by Stephenville graduate and Broncos football player Jarrett Stidham.
