This friendly Heeler mix and frightened cat need new homes.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Otis, a three-year-old male Heeler mix.

“He is very friendly and loves attention,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He loves toys and loves to zoom around. He does well with other dogs has shown some food aggression, so feeding separately is highly recommended.”

Otis has a tendency to jump and grab people with his paws, so a home with older children would probably be best.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative and has been at the shelter since September.

Vegas is a three-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“She is really scared here at the shelter, but is super sweet and doting once she gets a calm, quiet moment to be with you,” Serena said. “She loves attention, but doesn’t like to be held.”

Vegas is an indoor cat.

She is spayed, microchipped and litter box trained.
