Stephenville Education Foundation to celebrate local educators during Friday’s home football game.

The Stephenville Education Foundation is hosting Champions for Education Night on Friday, during the Yellow Jackets first home football game of the season.
The event will take place on Friday, Aug. 28, at the Art Briles Stadium in Stephenville.
Proceeds will support teacher grants, classroom resources and enhanced learning opportunities for students at Stephenville ISD.
Board member Rachelle Donham told Beneath the Surface News that Teachers of the Year and grant recipients will also be recognized on Friday night.
Those teachers include:
Debanhi Mendoza – Central Elementary
Sabrina Carter - Chamberlin Elementary
Kayla Bibles – Hook Elementary
Miriam Smith – Gilbert Intermediate
Michael Bruce – Henderson Junior High
Jody Fain – Stephenville High School
“Last year the Stephenville Education Foundation gave more than $13,000 to teachers, helping to empower students in the classroom,” Donham said.
