Meet the chatty cat searching for his forever home after being found as a stray.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Brother Thomas, a sweet male cat ready to find his forever home.
“Brother Thomas came to us as a stray, and sadly, no one ever came looking for him,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He is a very chatty cat who loves to talk to anyone walking by his kennel.”
When Brother Thomas is not busy having a conversation, you can usually find him relaxing on a comfy bed and enjoying some well-deserved rest.
He is a sweet and affectionate boy who would love a family that will give him plenty of love, attention and cozy places to curl up.
Brother Thomas is microchipped and will be neutered before adoption.
Joe is a sweet, sensitive pup looking for a patient, experienced family who will give him the time and understanding he needs to feel comfortable.
“Joe was adopted from our shelter this year, but was recently returned due to his food aggression,” Serena said.
“His previous home discovered that Joe can be protective of his food and may resource guard items like trash, so he is looking for a home that understands and can safely manage these behaviors.”
Joe can be nervous when meeting new people, but once he trusts you, his affectionate personality shines through.
He loves getting attention, playing with toys, going for car rides and enjoying a good brushing.
While Joe has done well with other dogs and cats, he would thrive best as the only pet in the home, so he doesn't have to compete for resources.
He is also looking for an adult-only home with no children, as he was uncomfortable around kids and strangers.
A quieter home with a predictable routine will help Joe feel safe and confident.
Joe is lightly housebroken, crate trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of his vaccines.
