One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Jupe, a sweet and calm cat that keeps to himself.
“He is the last of his litter to arrive at the shelter,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He's always been a bit of a loner, preferring quiet time over roughhousing with his siblings, but that doesn't mean he isn't affectionate.
“Jupe enjoys attention and does well being held, making him a sweet companion for someone who appreciates a calm and gentle cat.”
While Jupe hasn't shown much interest in toys, Serena believes his playful side will come out once he's comfortable in his new home.
Jupe is partially vaccinated, dewormed and pending a microchip.
His neutering will be scheduled at the time of adoption.
Weston was found as a stray and never reclaimed.

“Despite his uncertain past, he's shown us what a sweet, goofy and affectionate boy he truly is,” Serena said.
Weston walks nicely on a leash and settles well in a crate, making him a great fit for both active families and more laid-back homes.
Weston is dog-friendly and loves to play with other pups.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.
