Tarleton State University will host its annual Fall Carnival from 4:30 -7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the O.A. Grant Building lawn and Admin Mall.
This festive event brings the campus and community together to support Tarleton’s student organizations.
Tickets can be purchased to enjoy games and activities at various booths.
“We are excited to be hosting the annual Fall Carnival once again,” said Kyle Becerra, Campus Life and Family Engagement program coordinator.
“We look forward to another successful year filled with great energy and meaningful engagement.”
Between 20 to 25 student organizations will participate, offering games and activities at their booths.
Tickets will cost 25 cents each, with proceeds going to the student organization operating the booth where the ticket is used.
“Our chapter is so excited to be part of the Fall Carnival this year,” said president of Zeta Phi Beta Sigma Omicron Chapter Sha’landra Epps.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the Stephenville community while raising funds for our chapter and the initiatives we support.
"Every person who stops by our booth helps us continue making a positive impact both on campus and in the community.”
Zeta Phi Beta will feature a “pencil pull” game at its booth, with proceeds supporting initiatives such as the March of Dimes and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Beyond philanthropic efforts, funds raised will help student organizations cover costs for meetings, promotional materials and conferences.
Guests can look forward to inflatables, carnival games, candy and plenty of fun during this community celebration.

The hardest languages to learn often depend on a person’s native tongue and exposure to different linguistic systems. Languages like Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean are known for their complex grammar, tones, and writing systems, making them challenging for English speakers. However, learning these languages opens doors to new cultures and global opportunities. With the right approach, consistency, and motivation, mastering even the toughest languages becomes achievable. Understanding why some languages are difficult helps learners prepare better and stay committed to their language-learning journey.
