Financial advisor Matt Miller opens office in Stephenville with plans to help small business owners.

Matt Miller is back where he belongs.

The 40-year-old financial advisor with Edward Jones recently relocated his office to Stephenville after years of commuting to Fort Worth.

“Through the pandemic, Cindy and I realized that this is home and this is where I need to have my business,” Matt told Beneath the Surface News. “I want to be able to spend more time with my wife and daughter so that’s why I moved my office here.”

Matt and his wife Cindy both have deep roots in Stephenville.

He graduated from SHS in 1999 and Tarleton State University in 2003 with a degree in business.

His new office is located on Harbin Drive where he will help clients meet various financial goals – everything from investing for retirement and college to second homes.

“We are a full-service brokerage firm, but one of the things we want to do here is service the small, local business owner; I have a passion for them,” Matt said. “Our country was built on the small business owner and I think they are under appreciated.

“I want to help them find tax advantage ways of investing because we don’t want them to go away. They are an important part of this community and I’m blown away by the ways they give back.”

Matt is also active in the community and is a current board member and former president of the Stephenville Education Foundation and president of Ducks Unlimited.
