Preparations are underway for the 19th annual Comanche County Healthcare Foundation dinner and auction.

Event coordinators are seeking items for the live and silent auctions; with bidding on Handbid.com lasting for two weeks beginning Sept. 8.

 The steak dinner and live auction will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Copperas Bend in De Leon.

Donations help the CCMC Health System increase rural access to medical services and provide essential patient care equipment.

This year, auction donations and proceeds will go towards new anesthesia and defibrillator equipment for the hospital and new Comanche County EMS communication equipment.
