The second annual benefit remembering the late Justin Monk will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at Melody Mountain Ranch.

The event will feature a performance by Coffey Anderson and will include dinner, dessert, live and silent auctions, alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages and Monk Strong merchandise.

A limited number of tickets will be sold and can be purchased here.

“Come dressed formal country and ready to enjoy a night filled with great music, meaningful moments, and support for an incredible cause,” the website states.

“Every ticket, every bid and every share help us continue supporting those who serve and their families in their time of need. Let’s come together for a night of impact, connection and giving back.”

The event is for those 21 and over.

Justin Monk passed away from Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2023 at only 41 years old.

Today, his family and friends carry on his legacy of helping others with the Monk Strong Memorial.

Justin’s sister-in-law Christina Monk told Beneath the Surface News the foundation uses proceeds to help others in the community.

“We help individuals in need who are service members – like teachers, healthcare professionals, police officers, firefighters and members of the military,” Christina said.

“If they need money for groceries or gas or to pay bills, we help.”

If you would like to make a donation to the Monk Strong Memorial, send checks to P.O. Box 793, Stephenville, TX 76401.
