One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Motley, a three to four-year-old female domestic shorthair.
“She is a tad nervous in this new environment, but is a very sweet cat,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“She needs a little time to warm up in new places. She likes to lounge around and has never met a stranger.”
Motley isn't fond of being held, but will jump in a lap and loves to be pet.
Her previous owner said she is good with dogs, but she has never been around other cats.
She does not like being chased around.
Motley is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
Bonnie is a one-year-old Shepherd mix.
“She is as sweet as can be,” Serena said. “She is very energetic, but needs leash training”

Bonnie loves to play fetch and is learning to sit.
She is a very smart girl, learns quickly and is good with other dogs, but not sure about cats or livestock.
Bonnie is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
