Tarleton State seeks participants for study on chronic knee pain.

Tarleton State University’s neuroscience lab is conducting a research study on chronic knee pain.
The university is looking for participants to take part in the 90-minute NIH-funded study, which explores how chronic knee osteoarthritis pain is processed in the brain using safe and easy procedures.
Dr. Amber Harris Bozer is a neuroscientist leading the paid study.
“We are looking for participants to come to Tarleton for our study,” Dr. Bozer told Beneath the Surface News.
The lab is recruiting adults in the following categories:
• Male, ages 54–58
• Female, ages 33–37
• Female, ages 40–44
• Female, ages 62–66
Parking is free and participants will receive a $40 gift card.

Those who are excluded from the study include:
• Anyone younger than 18 years of age
• Diagnosis of a pain condition other than knee osteoarthritis
• Has a cardiac pacemaker
• Pregnant
• Major surgery in the last year
• Stroke
• Epilepsy
• Drug use
