The Stephenville Optimist Club will host its 54th annual auction at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at City Hall at City Limits.

Led by a mission of providing hope and positivity to support the youth and community, all proceeds raised by the annual auction will be used to provide school supplies for Stephenville ISD students for the upcoming school year.

The event will include silent and live auctions, as well as live entertainment and heavy appetizers.

“The Optimist Club auction has been supporting youth activities in Stephenville for over 50 years, and we’re excited to continue this great community tradition,” said Optimist Club President Dennis Jones.

“In recent years, this event has raised money for a new sound system at Lem Brock Field, the SHS Outdoor classroom, City Park renovations and much more.

“We’re so thankful to our partners who have donated items and would love to see the community fill up City Hall and participate.”

Since 1966, the Stephenville Optimist Club has raised over $1 million that has been reinvested back into the community.

You can contribute to the event by donating an auction item or making a monetary donation.
