An Erath County grand jury on Tuesday indicted seven people on a variety of charges including one man accused of possessing child pornography.

Jack Arden Floyd was charged with three counts of possession of child porn (enhanced), a third degree felony.

According to the official complaint obtained by Beneath the Surface News, Stephenville police were dispatched to a home on W. Hyman Street on Aug. 24, 2025 after a family member found a flash drive containing child pornography inside Floyd’s home.

The complaint states that Floyd was being evicted from his apartment when the flash drive was discovered inside his laptop bag.

The complaint states that the person who found the flash drive was on the phone with Floyd when it was discovered and that Floyd “insisted it was trash and to throw it away.”

The bag reportedly contained two flash drives, and rather than tossing them into the trash, the person who found them took them home.

“The reporting party stated when he opened one of the thumb drives, one of the files showed an eight-year-old child having oral sex with a male,” the complaint states.

“Det. Butcher confirmed there were multiple file folders with different labels describing the content inside the folders. The USB jump drive contained over 1,000 images of child pornography.

“The downloaded images contained prepubescent boys and girls engaging in sexual acts with adults or other children.”

Floyd is being held at the Erath County Jail on a $300,000 bond.

The grand jury also indicted Aaron Webb, accused of threatening three Erath County officials.

Webb was indicted on three counts of obstruction or retaliation, a third degree felony.
