The night is calling…

Enjoy Stephenville’s downtown plaza in an entirely different light (as in none) when the first Fae-Root and Fossil Oddity Market makes its atmospheric debut on Saturday, May 9.

The event will be held from 5-10 p.m. and include a chance to do some unique shopping.

Kandas Newby, owner of Kitty's Kottagecore, is co-hosting the event.

“I want to celebrate the interest and cultures of other oddballs like me,” she told Beneath the Surface News.

“There are not many places we can shop for the things we like around here, so I thought I would bring some of that to a night market.

“Plus, this is something fun to do on the weekend.”

Some of the things you’ll find at the Oddity Market will include unique crystals, apothecary goods, garden fairies, jewelry, hand-crafted knives and cutlery, ghosts-in-a-jar and tallow and vegan soaps.

“There will also be brisket sandwiches and treats for sale for people who want a bite to eat while they shop,” Kandas said.

The market will be held on the second Saturday night of every month.

“Since this is our first one, it will be a little smaller, but next month we plan to bring in a belly dancing troupe,” she said.

So, if you’re looking for a new experience this weekend, gather your friends and head to the downtown plaza for a night of magic.
