A De Leon man is being held at the Erath County Jail without bond for allegedly threatening three Erath County officials.

According to the official complaint obtained by Beneath the Surface News, Tim Holzschuh, an investigator with Erath County District Attorney Alan Nash’s office, received a letter on Oct. 14, 2025 from a confidential informant outlining an alleged threat from another inmate.

The letter reportedly contained a statement from Aaron Webb detailing a plot to ambush or assassinate District Court Judge Jason Cashon, Assistant District Attorney Mackenzie Pack and a person named "Tully."

The plan was reportedly told to the informant on Sept. 16.

“This letter was alarming and credible to Ms. Pack and to me because it referenced threats made on the date Aaron Webb had appeared in District Court for a September 16, 2025 pretrial hearing relating to a pending felony indictment,” Holzschuh stated in the complaint.

“I also (determined) through arrest records that Erath County Sheriff's Office Deputy Taylor Tully had been involved in the most recent arrest of Aaron Webb that resulted in his incarceration at the time the threat was made.”

The complaint states that at least two informants told Holzschuh that Webb returned to jail after his court appearance and began yelling about plans to “hurt everyone whom he perceived as wronging him.”

Webb has been charged with three counts of obstruction or retaliation.

He has also faced past charges for deadly conduct and racing on the highway.
