Rain or shine: Moo-La Fest is underway with a full slate of fun. See you there!

The wait is finally over.

Festivities that are all things Moo-La Fest kick off Thursday through Sunday at Stephenville City Park.

A carnival that’s bigger and better than ever opens from 6-10 p.m. Thursday and will remain open all weekend long.

“We were able to get Carnival Americana this year and they do a great job,” Julie Smith, manager of the city’s Tourism and Visitors Bureau, told Beneath the Surface News. “This will be a big one – a full carnival – that will be open every day through Sunday.”

Tickets are $1 each (rides require 2-3 tickets).

And don’t miss out on the nightly entertainment featuring live music and a balloon glow.

City officials are keeping a close eye on the weather and will make adjustments as needed, but for now, everything is moving forward as planned.

“At this point, everything is happening rain or shine,” Julie said. “The only thing that could be affected are the hot air balloons.”

Moo-La Fest is an extra special event for Erath County because it pays tribute to its long-standing dairy heritage.

I can hardly wait for the Texas Forts Trail’s wine festival from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday that will showcase a variety of Texas vineyards.

Tickets are $35 each and include two tastings from each winery paired with Veldhuizen artisan cheese, a souvenir wine glass and swag bag with goodies from across the region.

See you there!
