Pet of the week: This friendly boy loves kids and wants a forever family.
One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Pablo, a three to four-year-old male mixed breed.
“He was left to fend for himself when his owner moved away,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He is an extremely friendly boy that loves everyone and does great with kids.”
Pablo seems to get along with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is recommended for those with other pets.
He is not a fan of being left in a crate and is not fully potty trained, but he is neutered, fully vaccinated, wormed and microchipped.
“He tested a light positive for heartworm, but has been started on a slow kill treatment,” Serena said. “Potential adopters should speak to their vet about treatment options.”
Pablo has been at the shelter since July 2023.
Jingle Bell Rock is a four to five-year-old female domestic short-hair.
“She is a little on the shy side, but has been really opening up to staff members,” Serena said. “She is a very sweet cat that loves pets.”
Jingle Bell came is as a stray and has never been claimed. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and litter box trained.
She has been at the shelter since December 2023.
