Newton at the Cellar opens Nov. 1 and it’s time to make your reservation.
Updated: Nov 21, 2020
The moment I realized that reservations for the grand opening of Newton at the Cellar were underway, I scrambled to secure a table.
I’ve been waiting for the doors to Chef Mike Newton’s new restaurant to open for months, and I wasn’t about to miss his first big night.
You shouldn’t either.
Newton’s unique flair for Texas cuisine will be on full display from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, when the restaurant will serve the public for the first time.
Hearsay Wine Bar located just a couple of doors down on College Street will also be open, offering Newton’s guests 20% off wine purchases.
Newton’s menu will change weekly, but his wife Melanie told me that guests can expect to see one of his most popular dishes, pan-seared tenderloin, available on Nov. 1.
Beginning Nov. 5, Newton at the Cellar will be open for dinner from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Reservations can be made at cowboychefnewton.com.
But a little birdie told me that most of the early time slots for opening night are already full, so you better hurry if you want a seat!
