“We are so very blessed by the most loving and generous community and county,” Stephenville Police Chief Dan Harris told Beneath the Surface News.

“With such love and support we are able to increase the spending this year for each of our 50 kids from $250 to $350.”

The fun will start bright and early on Monday, Dec. 22, when kids will be treated to breakfast, then head to Walmart (with lights and sirens) for a Christmas shopping spree.

“Each child will receive $350 to purchase clothes, shoes and a toy from Walmart, which has been a phenomenal supporter of this event,” Chief Harris said.

You can help sponsor a child by making a donation to Shop with a Cop in any amount at First Financial Bank, Texas Department of Public Safety, Stephenville, Dublin and Tarleton police departments and Erath County Sheriff’s Office.

“We are so blessed with a loving and giving community and we are thankful for any amount we receive,” he said.
