An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who failed to appear in court on Monday, Erath County District Attorney Alan Nash told Beneath the Surface News.

Justin Lee Hubble was expected in court Monday with his attorney Shay Isham after a plea agreement was reached with the district attorney’s office last week.

But when Monday arrived, Hubble was a no-show.

Hubble has two pending cases against him, the first stemming from an incident in May 2024 when he allegedly fled from police while driving a stolen vehicle.

“As soon as police made contact and tried to handcuff him, he took off running,” Assistant District Attorney Mackenzie Pack said.

According to the arrest affidavit, an officer with the Stephenville Police Department, chased him down and tackled him in the mud.

That’s when Hubble allegedly tried to take the officer’s stun gun and kicked a second officer in the groin before he was placed under arrest.

Hubble was indicted on numerous charges in that case and was out on bond when he was arrested again in June.

In that incident, Hubble again allegedly fled from police in a vehicle before taking off on foot into a field where he hid between two hay bales.

“Police set up a perimeter and flew a drone with thermal imaging to find him,” Pack said.

He was arrested again and released on bond when last week’s plea agreement was made.

Hubble has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2013 when he was arrested for theft.

He was arrested again for theft in 2022 and for driving with an invalid license in 2023.

In the 2024 incident, he was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, attempt to take away a peace officer’s weapon, evading arrest, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license.
