I love Asian-inspired food, but more than that I love recipes that are easy and mess-free.
Enter the egg roll bowl.
You can find a variety of these recipes on Pinterest and that’s how I discovered this one.
It’s made in one pan (easy clean up) and includes simple ingredients you probably have in your pantry.
The end result is a deeply-flavored meal that is semi-healthy and quick to prepare.
WHAT’S IN IT
1 lb. ground pork, beef or chicken
1 tsp. minced garlic
14 ounces shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. sriracha
1 egg
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Chopped green onions
HOW TO MAKE IT
Brown meat in large skillet. Drain, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Add cabbage, soy sauce, ginger and sauté until desired tenderness.
Make a well in center of the mixture and add egg. Scramble until done over low heat.
Stir in sriracha. Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with green onions.
Add additional soy sauce and sriracha to your liking.
Enjoy!
