MY EXPERIENCE WITH PURE IMAGE
I was in my mid-40s the first time I got a little Botox.
I needed some help unfurrowing my brows and smoothing the crow’s feet that had suddenly crept up, so I made an appointment with Amy, and after a few injections to the forehead and around my eyes, I was a younger looking me.
But it was this year, when I turned 50, that Botox became a regular part of my beauty regime.
Every three to four months, I get a few injections and there is absolutely no pain, bruising or puffiness.
It takes about a week for the effect to show, and when it does, my wrinkles and creases are completely gone.
My last treatment included a lip flip, which is a small injection of Botox into the upper lip that adds a little fullness. I absolutely love it!
On Monday, I will have my second IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy treatment.
Years of sun exposure have not been kind to my skin (so lather up with the sunscreen, kids!) and I have more than a few age spots on my face to show for it.
Amy suggested I try IPL, a series of treatments that minimize the appearance of dark spots.
The procedure lasts about 20 minutes and is only slightly uncomfortable.
You don’t want to get IPL just prior to any big event because in the days following the treatment, the spots become darker.
(My spots were so dark, in fact, that I couldn’t cover them with makeup, so keep that in mind.)
But I am thrilled with the results and will share before and after photos when I complete the treatments.
