BBBS announces Dancing For the Stars lineup

It’s official.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County announced its slate of local celebrities taking part in this year’s Dancing For the Stars event.
The teams include Jake and Brooke Smith, Dustin Goates and Kelsey Turner, Amauri and Barbara Martinez, Brandon and Katie Smith and Justin and Katie Burr.
“We are beyond excited about the five couples we have selected,” said BBBS executive director Sarah Weaver. “Each couple has so much personality and fun they will bring to the dance floor!”
This year’s theme is “Love Boat” and dance practice will begin in June.
Tickets for general seating are $135 each and sponsorships are available by contacting the dance team of your choice.
“Due to COVID-19, we recognize things look a little different this year,” Weaver said. “However, the cost to make and sustain matches has stayed the same. With that being said, we are keeping our ticket and sponsorship prices in the same range as in years past.
“I feel proud to be a part of Erath County and to serve as the Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters during this trying time. This community is so supportive and I have no doubt that people want to see our youth succeed.” For more information, email Weaver at smcneal@bbbstx.org.
