There will be no shortage of fun this weekend with a host of exciting events happening in Stephenville and Dublin.

 

Check it out!

 


1.  OPTIMIST CLUB AUCTION

 

Kick off the weekend at the Stephenville Optimist Club’s 53rd annual auction at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, at City Hall at City Limits.

 

Proceeds from the event support various youth projects.

 

The event will include live and silent auctions and music by “Third Wheel.”

The Stephenville Independent School District’s art contest winners will also present their award-winning art in the live auction.

 


2. FARMERS & ARTISAN MARKET, CINCOVILLE

 

The city of Stephenville’s Main Street Program will host its first Farmer & Artisan Market of the season along with Cincoville on Saturday, May 3.

 

The fun takes place from 9 a.m.-3p.m. at the downtown plaza with live music from 1-3 p.m.

 

The event will include food trucks, face painting, pinatas and various merchants will host “Tour de Salsa” from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

 

Tickets for the salsa tasting can be purchased for $7 at the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council.

 

The ticket will allow you to sample all the salsas and vote on your favorite.

 

You will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

3. MAC AND CHEESE COOKOFF AND TASTING


The Big Cheese benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County is back!


This year’s mac and cheese cookoff begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Lucky Vines Vineyard and Winery.


Adult tickets are $10 and $5 for children and can be purchased here.


Tickets allow you to sample mac and cheese from each of the vendors and gives you a vote for the People's Choice Award.



4. CINCO DE MAYO FUN RUN

 

The Erath County Humane Society is hosting a Cinco de Mayo 5K and fun run beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bosque River Trailhead near Timber Ridge Church.

 

A one-mile fun run will begin at 10.

 

This non-timed event costs $25 to participate; walkups are welcome.

 

No dogs are allowed during the 5K, but leashed dogs are allowed during the one-mile run.

 

There will also be door prizes, a dog costume contest and vendors.



5. REVITALIZE DUBLIN HOSTS EXCITING FUNDRAISER

 

Revitalize Dublin is hosting an event on Saturday at Backwoods that will include a performance by a 90's rock cover band, silent auction and exciting Mr. Legs contest.

 

Doors open at 3 and the band begins at 7.

 

Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door. 



And if you want to enter the Mr. Legs contest, all you have to do is jump in and strut your stuff. The contest will begin around 8.


Revitalize Dublin is a 501C3 non-profit organization committed to the beautification, community development and economic growth of Dublin.
