4 Reel Tackle and Outdoors in Stephenville is the perfect place to shop for that angler in your life.

If you’re looking for a Christmas gift for that person in your life who enjoys fishing, stop by 4 Reel Tackle and Outdoors in Stephenville.

The outdoor and sporting goods company is owned by James Andrae and Rick Looney and specializes in premium fishing tackle, gear and apparel.

James, as many of you know, also owns Capital Hatters.

His own love for fishing led him to partner with Looney in 2024 to purchase the shop.

“We’ve built the business as an all-around angler store not only for pro fishermen, but for kids, intermediate fishermen and people who do it as a hobby,” James told Beneath the Surface News.

“One of the things that sets us apart is that we have a really knowledgeable staff that make people feel comfortable when they come in.”

The store carries popular brands like Shimano, Lews, Bajio Sunglasses and U-Call Rods as well as live bait.

“Our store is 90 percent fishing and some duck hunting products, but our plan is to expand the outdoor section soon,” James said.

4 Reel Tackle and Outdoors is prepped for Christmas with premade gift bags ready for purchase, rods and reels, and of course, gift cards that make for perfect stocking stuffers.

4 Reel Tackle and Outdoors is located at 4834 US Hwy. 281.

It’s open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday.
