New signals, drainage facilities and pedestrian signals were installed at the intersection with SH 6.
Drainage facilities were also installed along Elm Street and Live Oak Street
Work began on the current phase from Pecan Street to Mesquite Street this month and is estimated for completion by the end of May, weather permitting.
The next phase will include work from Mesquite Street to Harris Street.
Overall, the project will rehabilitate Business 67 from the railroad tracks to FM 219 (Clinton Street) and includes drainage improvements, safety enhancements at pedestrian crossings and repavement of the corridor.
