Stephenville is in for another treat.

Literally.

Panera Bread and Baskin-Robbins are set to make their debut at Tarleton State University later this summer.

Jenna Partin, director of university communications, told Beneath the Surface News that the joint location will feature indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio designed for year-round comfort, with heaters available during the winter months and fans for the summer.

“Construction remains on schedule, and we anticipate that Panera Bread and Baskin-Robbins will open in August in the Washington Street Parking Garage next to Buffalo Wild Wings,” she said.

“We look forward to sharing additional details as the opening approaches.”

MORE ABOUT PANERA BREAD

Panera Bread offers a breakfast selection as well as an extensive menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and bakery items like cookies (Dubai style, coconut macaroon and chocolate chip) that are sold individually or in a four or 12-pack.

The restaurant also specializes in bagels (asiago, cinnamon, blueberry, sesame and multigrain) that are also sold in packs.

MORE ABOUT BASKIN-ROBBINS

Baskin-Robbins is known for having a unique selection of ice cream.

Think cherries jubilee, chocolate chip cheesecake, cookie monster, daquiri ice, icing on the cake, mom’s makin’ cookies and nutty coconut as well as more traditional flavors like mint chocolate chip, old fashion butter pecan, sherbet and rocky road.

They also sell sundaes, ice cream cakes and pizzas, beverages and “creature creations” for kids.

When I was a kid, Baskin-Robbins was known for its “31 flavors” of ice cream.

Today, it’s 1,400 flavors strong.
