I mean, seriously.
Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? Toss in a few chunks of lobster or spice it up with jalapeno and it’s heaven in a bowl.
If you like mac and cheese as much as I do, you’ll want to get tickets to The Big Cheese benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County.
This mac and cheese cookoff begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Bosque River TapHouse, and amateur and professional cooks are invited to enter.
“This is our first time to host the event and we are really excited,” BBBS executive director Sarah McNeal-Weaver told Beneath the Surface News. “We still have room for more cooks.”
The event will take place on the patio (as long as the weather cooperates) and attendees will get a 2-ounce sample of each entry.
Tickets for tastings are $25 for adults and $10 for children and can be purchased here.
A ticket will also give you the chance to vote for your favorite dish.
