This week’s featured pets include a fun-size, sassy dog and cat that likes to play with her mouse.

Blanche

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Blanche, a one to two-year-old female Rat Terrier mix.

“She is a fun-size girl weighing in at only 30 pounds,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is sweet and very energetic. She loves people, but has a very intimidating bark for how small she is.”

Blanche showed a sassy side while she was being fostered. She is kennel-trained, but doesn’t like it. She is also potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door.

“She is good with children and other dogs, but we are not sure about cats,” Serena said. “She will bark at cows, but won't chase them.”

Blanche will, however, chase cars, so she will need a fenced-in yard. She is a high-energy girl that will need daily exercise.

She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and has been at the shelter since May. Error is a one to two-year-old female domestic shorthair.

“She is a sweet girl that is a little shy and tends to hide in her litterbox,” Serena said. “She would do best in a quiet home.”

Error

Error meows very quietly when she wants attention.

“She has also started playing and has a blast smacking her little mouse toys around,” Serena said.

Error is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litterbox trained.

She has been at the shelter since July.
