This week’s featured pet up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is McLachlan, a two to three-year-old male pit bull mix.
“This handsome man is very sweet and loves attention,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He is good with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is always recommended with current dogs in the home.”
McLachlan knows how to "sit" and "whisper."
He is very high energy, so will need someone with an active lifestyle or a big backyard to run in.
“He does okay in a crate and walks well on a leash,” Serena said. “He seems to be potty trained but might need a refresher course since he has been an outside dog here at the shelter.”
McLachlan should definitely not be around cats and might have too much energy for small dogs and young children.
McLachlan is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
He has been at the shelter since May.
