This dog loves water, but living at the shelter is stressing her out.

This week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society include Mokey, a three-year-old female Aussie-Heeler mix.

“Mokey is a very sweet girl,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She loves the water hose and would probably enjoy a little pool to splash around in.”

Mokey is good with cats and male dogs, but is a little iffy with female dogs.

“She is house and kennel-trained but will break out of a kennel if she gets bored and is left too long,” Serena said. “She is a lovable, playful, energetic girl, but is pretty stressed at the shelter.”

Mokey is food-motivated and will steal food when it’s left unattended.

She is also spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on prevention.

Chicken Noodle is a 10-week-old male domestic shorthair.

“He is a tiny, sassy little boy and loves to play with his siblings and kitty toys,” she said.

If you would like to meet Mokey, Chicken Noodle or the other 87 dogs and 57 cats that need homes, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
