This big, healthy guy loves kids and other dogs, but cats and chickens are a hard no.
One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society includes Striker, a five-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback Black Mouth Cur mix.
“He is a big, healthy 108-pound beast, but is super sweet,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He does well with other dogs and children, but not cats or chickens.”
Striker loves to play and go on long walks, but he is very strong and requires a strong handler.
“He has mainly been an outside dog, so I’m not sure if he is house trained,” Serena said. “He does know how to sit and takes treats, but he lacks manners and needs someone willing to train him.”
Striker is microchipped, heart worm negative and on prevention. Dumbledore is a three-month-old male domestic medium hair.
“He is a shy little kitten that needs time to warm up to you,” Serena said.
Dumbledore is good with other cats, litter box trained and microchipped.
If you would like to meet Striker, Dumbledore or the other 75 dogs and 48 cats that need homes, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
