A young group of dancers with Studio 6:14 Dance & Performing Arts is getting a rare opportunity to train with an elite group of dance instructors this weekend.

The convention will be held at the Hilton in downtown Fort Worth.

“This is a chance for the girls to dip their toes into the competition world,” Brittany Thurman, owner of Studio 6:14, told Beneath the Surface News. “These are elite dance instructors, teachers and choreographers who have worked with stars like Britney Spears and Beyonce.”

Brittany and her assistant director Cassie Stanley will also receive training.

“The cool part of this is how the community has stepped up to make it possible for these girls to attend,” she said.

Those sponsors include Boucher, Morgan and Young, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, Pinspiration Stephenville, Xtreme Electric and SDUB Fitness.

“Their first competition will be held in February,” Brittany said. “The goal is to create a team that is fueled solely by sponsorships.”

Open auditions to join the team will take place in the spring. The dates will be announced on Studio 6:14’s Facebook page.

Businesses and organizations interested in sponsoring the team should call 254-434-1114.
