The Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo is gearing up for its Queen Contest. Here’s how to enter.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to become the next queen of the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo, this contest is for you.


The Miss Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo Queen Contest is set for Sept. 16-17 with coronation taking place during the second performance of the PRCA Rodeo on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The contest includes three age groups: Miss (ages 19-25), Teen (13-18) and Princess (6-12), and for the first time ever, it's open to contestants from across the state.


Contestants will be judged in the categories of horsemanship, speech, modeling, personal interview, appearance and impromptu.

The horsemanship will be held at Park Your Pony Arena in Stephenville and the remainder of the pageant will be held at The N at Hardway Ranch in Bluff Dale.


Lots of great prizes will be awarded in all age groups as well as $2,500 in scholarships and a trophy saddle in the Miss Division.


Miss Rodeo Texas Baily Simpson will attend the two-day pageant and Miss Rodeo American Hailey Frederiksen will attend the rodeo performances.
