The Amazing Meals on Wheels Race is Saturday and this team of women is 'cooking.'

A team of women competing in this weekend’s Amazing Meals on Wheels Race is hosting a delicious fundraiser to raise money for Meals on Wheels of Erath County.

The Bull Sisters, comprised of Hannah Dowell, Rachel Williams and Kimberly Dowell Barrier, are whipping up a variety of yummy dishes for sale.

All proceeds, of course, benefit MOWEC, which supplies 200 hot meals to local senior citizens every day.

You can place an order now for a breakfast casserole, banana pudding, king ranch chicken, chicken spaghetti, beef enchiladas or chicken enchiladas.

“Everything is freezable,” Hannah told Beneath the Surface News. “The dishes will all be in disposable tins, so you can freeze it or heat it and eat it.”

And here’s something else: You can also buy a casserole and have it delivered to someone as a gift.

Each 9x13 dish is just $15 and delivery is included. How’s that for a sweet deal?

To place an order call or text Hannah at 254-459-9373.

All orders must be placed by the end of this week.

The casseroles will be delivered this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

WATCH PARTY AT HEARSAY WINE BAR

The Amazing Meals on Wheels Race will start at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hearsay Wine Bar where there will also be a watch party.

“We are going to get together and livestream the events as the teams compete,” MOW executive director Elizabeth Johnson said. “We will have door prizes and there will be a chance to donate to your favorite team.”
