Texan Theatre set to begin 5-show run of ‘The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.’

Tarleton State University’s Texan Theatre will present a five-performance run of "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" Nov. 20-23 in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center auditorium in Stephenville.

 Directed by Tarleton theater professor Dan Stone, the show is an adaptation of the children's book by Kate DiCamillo and follows a self-centered China rabbit's journey of learning to love and be loved.

 

Evening performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday Nov. 22. Matinee performances are set for 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The cast features Maya Castellano as Woman; Matthew Carlton as Man; Kay Grimstad as Traveler; Charlie Smith as Musician; Nova Davison as Guitarist/Stagehand; and Rhea Tenhet and Victor Friar as Stagehands.

 

Behind the scenes, prop designers are Bee Harris and Caroline Bachhofer; lighting designer is Prudence Jones; costume designer is Michelle Dormaier; original music is written by Smith and Stone contributed original lyrics.

Scenic designs are produced by Tarleton State’s theatre department scenic design class.
