Tarleton State University to mark official start of the holiday season with lighting celebration.

Tarleton State University’s annual holiday lighting celebration will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in front of the Dick Smith Library.


The event dates to the 1980s and marks the start of the holiday season.

The library, Administration Building, Tarleton Center, O.A. Grant Building, Joe Autry Agriculture Building and Thompson Student Center will be lit for the holidays, as will the Trogdon House, which is celebrating its centennial.


The public is invited. Holiday snacks and hot beverages will be served.
