Continuing a stretch of historic momentum, Tarleton State University has announced that preliminary fall 2025 numbers indicate record enrollment for the sixth consecutive year, with approximately 21,000 students attending.

Additionally, first-time-in-college enrollment will exceed 3,000 for the second consecutive year, a record class size for the university. In total, Tarleton State is welcoming 4,225 new Texans this academic year.

“We are transforming more lives than ever while preparing our students to enter the workforce and make a meaningful impact,” said Tarleton State President Dr. James Hurley.

“Our commitment to expanding access to an affordable, first-class education is making it possible for a record number of Texans to earn a college degree.”

As an academic, first-choice destination, Tarleton State’s enrollment of the top 10% of Texas high school graduates is up 21.9% from a year ago.

Enrollment in Tarleton Today has also soared to record levels.

For fall 2025, more than 5,500 students from around the Lone Star State are participating, nearly doubling the participation from a year ago.

The university’s dual enrollment program provides an affordable option for Texas high school students to accelerate their college preparation.

“Tarleton State is a first-choice destination for thousands of talented and innovative Texans each year,” said Hurley. “We are proud to have many of the brightest rising stars from our state as a part of our family.”

Notably, enrollment in doctoral programs have increased significantly since last year at a 36% increase.

Tarleton State added a Doctor of Occupational Therapy program over the summer and has plans to launch three more doctoral programs in the next 18 months, pending Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) approval.

A six-week plan for the SAT requires focus and steady effort. Start by reviewing core math and grammar concepts, then set aside daily time for reading practice to strengthen comprehension. Break study sessions into manageable blocks, alternating between sections. Midway through, take a full-length SAT practice test to gauge progress and adjust your approach. In the final weeks, concentrate on weak areas while still maintaining overall review. Consistency, timed drills, and balancing rest with study will help maximize performance on test day.

It’s amazing to see Tarleton State hitting record enrollment again, especially with more students pursuing doctoral programs. Balancing academics at that level must be tough. I remember when I had to pay someone to take my online class through PaySomeoneTo to just manage my workload. Sometimes support like that makes higher education goals more achievable.
