Tarleton State will open the 2026 football season with the inaugural Stephenville Day on Saturday, Aug. 29, at Memorial Stadium.
The event is designed to bring the community together while celebrating the people, accomplishments and traditions that make Stephenville unique.
The game-day celebration will recognize Stephenville's Teachers of the Year, highlight community achievements and upcoming local events and offer special ticket pricing for Stephenville residents and employees.
The Texan football program enters the season ranked No. 1 in the conference and No. 5 nationally among NCAA Division I FCS programs. Tarleton also welcomes the nation's No. 1-ranked National Signing Day class.
