The Tarleton Association of Professionals is hosting a tailgate on Saturday when the Texans take on Eastern New Mexico at 6 p.m. during Tarleton’s annual family weekend.

You’re invited to stop by for a little (or a lot) of pre-game fun starting about 1 p.m. at Texan Alley. (Just look for the big flags!)

You don’t have to be a member to join in the celebration, which will include the TAP beer wagon and those famous nettle chips and cheese curds we can’t get enough of.

Remember: Calories don’t count on the weekend.

I am celebrating my one-year anniversary as a TAP member and I can’t tell you how much fun it’s been getting involved with such a tremendous organization.

Aside from meeting other like-minded business professionals, TAP hosts a number of fun events throughout the year like mixers, happy hours and holiday celebrations.

TAP’s mission is to raise money for Tarleton organizations while fostering relationships with students.

Last year TAP presented Friends of the Tarleton Pantry with $5,000; Tarleton Careers with $3,000 and Tarleton Bass Club with $2,000.
