A Stephenville woman is asking the public for help so that she can sing the National Anthem at this year’s Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Tiffany McLeod is the worship leader at Cowboy Church of Erath County and the theater teacher at Mineral Wells High School.

“I quit entering vocal contests a long time ago, but I had the honor of getting to sing the National Anthem at various events this summer and it was a blast, so I've decided to go out on a limb and try out for a shot at singing the National Anthem at this year's NFR,” Tiffany told Beneath the Surface News.

There are 151 contestants competing in the National Anthem Contest and the first two elimination rounds are based purely on fan votes.

The first elimination round is underway now and ends Sept. 13.

You can watch videos of all the singers and vote for Tiffany by clicking here.

The NFR will be held Dec. 1-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The two grand prize winners of the National Anthem Contest will receive airfare to and from Las Vegas, two-nights hotel accommodations and two tickets to the NFR.
