Updated: Nov 25, 2023

If you’ve been dreaming of Sugar Plum fairies, you’re in luck.

Several dancers from Stephenville Dance Center have auditioned for the professional production of The Nutcracker by Ballet Frontier.

The performances will be held at the Granbury Opera House Nov. 24-26 (that’s the weekend after Thanksgiving).

“This is the fifth year we have collaborated with Ballet Frontier for this production,” Renee Burdick, owner of Stephenville Dance Center, told Beneath the Surface News.

“It’s become one of the highlights of our dance year. I have so many amazing memories as a ballerina growing up doing The Nutcracker and I’m thrilled to get to share this Christmas ballet tradition with my students.

“The fact that we get to dance along world class ballerinas makes the experience even more magical!”

Tickets are now sale now and can be purchased by clicking here.

Stephenville Dance Center is also gearing up for its annual Holiday Showcase Dec. 9-10 at Stephenville High School’s auditorium. Both performances are at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here.
