Picture this: It’s a crisp, fall evening in November. The trees are twinkling with festive lights and the smooth sound of jazz floats through downtown Stephenville where people are gathered for an evening of food and wine.

Sound too good to be true?

Well, that’s exactly what’s in store for you on Nov. 21 when a new event makes its debut.

Concerts on College Street is spearheaded by Lisa Pendleton, owner of Hearsay Wine Bar, who recently returned from a trip to Denver, Colorado with an idea.

“While I was in Denver, I saw some information about an event called ‘An Evening of Jazz,’” she said. “It sounded so neat and I thought people here would love something like that as well.”

So she started making plans and before long, a date was set and a jazz band was hired for the inaugural event, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21.

College Street will be blocked off to thru-traffic that evening.

More details about this wonderful event are coming soon, so stay tuned.

For now though, mark those calendars because this is one you don’t want to miss.
