Companion Senior Care and Wings Over Texas Hospice are partnering to host monthly events to educate the public on a variety of healthcare-related topics.
This month’s event will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the Cross Timbers Legacy Center in Stephenville.
The event will begin with an hour-long game of Bingo followed by lunch and a discussion about the differences between skilled nursing and long-term care, led by Charles Walters
The event is free and open to everyone in the community.
“We want to encourage the community at large to attend, have lunch with us and gain insight into healthcare situations that may arise with their loved ones or even themselves,” Rozina Pittman, with Companion Senior Care, told Beneath the Surface News.
“Knowing your options, your choices and your rights ahead of time of need, is a valuable tool to have, especially in high-anxiety situations, which many healthcare events can turn into.”
If you would like to submit a question before the June 18 event, email rozina@companioninhomeseniorcare.com or selrod@wotxhospice.com.
