Say hi to Aries and Walkie Talkie. They are this week’s featured pets up for adoption.

Aries

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Aries, a two to three-year-old male Pit Bull/Terrier mix.

“He is a super happy boy that loves everyone he meets,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“He is dog, stranger and kid friendly. He is also good with cats, but does get overly excited and will get in their face.”

Aries has never been around livestock.

He is potty trained and does well when left alone as long as he has toys to keep him busy.

“He has been an indoor dog, but has been outdoor for the last couple of months,” Serena said. “He can climb short chain link fences, so will need secure fencing when left outside.”

Aries loves being outside to run and play and walks well on a leash and in the car.

He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Walkie Talkie is a two-month-old male domestic shorthair.

“He is a shy little boy that is a bit skittish at first,” Serena said.

“He is ok with being held and getting ear scratches. He starts purring as soon as you pick him up and loves playing with toys.”

Walkie Talkie

Walkie Talkie is neutered, has had two FVRCP shots, rabies and is litter box trained.

He is pending microchip until he is a little bigger.
