City officials learned Tuesday that two more Stephenville residents tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total in Erath County to 32.

The patients are in quarantine and recuperating at home, according to City Manager Allen Barnes.

There are now 15 active cases in the county.

“People need to remain aware that COVID is still among us. Please take

precautions necessary for prevention," said Stephenville Mayor Doug Svien.

City officials continue to encourage residents to take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus by wearing cloth face masks, washing hands regularly and social distancing.
