Sign up now for Erath County Humane Society’s 3rd annual Cinco de Mayo 5k and 1-mile fun run.

The Erath County Humane Society is hosting its third annual Cinco de Mayo 5k and fun run beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Bosque River Trailhead near Timber Ridge Church.


A one-mile fun run will begin at 10.


After the fun run, stop by El Corral to enjoy a delicious margarita and fajitas.

This non-timed event costs $25 if you register by March 31 or $30 after.

No dogs are allowed during the 5k, but leashed pups are allowed during the one-mile run.



The event will include lots of tail wagging fun like...


The Sombrero Dash: A crowd favorite! Watch the cutest pups (under 20 lbs.) sprint to the finish line in this hilarious and heartwarming mini race.


Challenge stations: Along the course, complete fun and silly challenges to earn extra raffle tickets.



Raffle prizes and giveaways: The more tickets you earn, the better your chances to win great prizes from local businesses.


Walk with a shelter dog: Don’t have a pup? No prob.


Walk one of the shelter’s adoptable dogs and help them shine.

I usually do not leave comments, but this article was actually enjoyable to read. It had a clear point and did not feel boring at all. It also made me think of When is Canadian Mother’s Day.
